আছে কান্টায়,
The guava tree planted by grandfather is still at the premise.
ডেঢ়িখ্যানে নিমের গাছ আইঝও বাতাস দেয়
হামার/পুড়া জানটায়।
Neem tree at Yard is still blowing my burnt soul.
কতো কী আছে তেবে জিয়েরই ভিতির
কী যেনে নাই, কী যেনে নাই, হায়রে হায়!
Lot of things are there, but still Something seems missing in the heart.
গোহিলে নাইন্দও আছে, খুঁটাও আছে
আছে ছিঁড়্যা পাঘা,
Earthenware is there in the barn-house and pillar & cow-tying rope as well.
বাছুরের মুখাড় আছে, সানকি আছে
আছে ম্যালা জাগা।
Calf mask is there, dish also and a huge space too.
হাইল্যানটা নাই, গাইও আইজ নাই
The cow is missing as well as the nanny goat.
ঘুঁটার মহকোন কুন্ঠে পাই?
Where's the place to get the scent of dung cake!
কতো কী আছে তেবে জিয়েরই ভিতির
কী যেনে নাই, কী যেনে নাই, হায়রে হায়!
Lot of things are there, but still Something seems missing in the heart.
হাঁইস্যালে ফুঙ্গী লাতা বোইসন্যা সিঁক্যা
নাইরে উসকাঠী,
There is no support tools in the kitchen.
আখা নাই ঝাঁপনিও নাই, নানার হাতের
নাইরে হাতকাঠি।
No earthen stove, it's cover or Wooden stick made by grandfather.
আঢ়ি ধামা কাঠা কোইট্যা
সরপেস চাঙ্গারী আর হাঁইট্যা,
No scuttle, no rattan basket.
ভুজা আর উঁখড়া মুঢ়ি পান্তা ছাতু নাই
No rice puff or the husk,
প্যাটের কামড়ায় ঝাঁইয়ের পানিও কুণ্ঠি নাই।
Water of burnt fried rice is not found elsewhere for treatment of stomach ache.
নানীর হাতের খাজুর পাতের সোঁপে নাই
তোস্তী আর জাঁতি,
There is no nut-cracker or betel-leaf container on the date leaves carpet made by grandmother.
নানার কুঁঠি গোলা পুয়াল পালা পায় ন্যা
ঢুঁইড়্যা লাতি।
Grandson failed to find out grandfather's granary & straw mound.
কোচ্চুল তাম্পাস থালি বাটি

জিভি ছেঁচকী তালের আঁঠি,

গোঁইঢ়্যার পাটাল ডহার ভুঁই কুন্ঠি সারগী নাই
দোয়েলও নাই, টিয়্যাও আইজ নাই।
Myna, starling and magpie are not found at the raw road and by the pond.
আরও কত কী আইঝও চোখে ভাসে
দেখতে পাইন্যা ভাই,
Many more things are floating in the eyes but not visible.
লুতা দিয়্যা ল্যাপা আইগন্যাতে বইস্যা
পিছ্যাকড়ে হাথড়াই।
Searching the past sitting on coated backyard.
তারারাও নাই আইজ আসমানে,
বুঝিন ভাইস্যাছে উজানে।
Stars seems missing in the sky, probably floated upstream.
কতো কী আছে তেবে জিয়েরই ভিতির
কী যেনে নাই, কী যেনে নাই, হায়রে হায়!
